Need a marketing strategy? Before you begin

Prior to the development of a marketing strategy for the data, it is important to carry out an analysis. This should be an essential part of any business plan or marketing and must be reviewed over time to ensure that they are current. Many of my clients often ask me, what factors are most important when you do this. The following is to be considered only a rough introduction of the 101 marketing if performing an analysis are taken and provides a checklist if you want to consider the most important factors.

Worthy items of consideration are:

  • Product Location

    What is my current product? This definition can be divided into parts such as basic goods and services, or the products and support are what you are selling. It is important to note that these relate to according to its various parts, able to meet the needs of large customers. Feel free, also, that the needs of your customers are discussing satisfied with your product.

  • Competitive situation

    Analyze your main competitors - are what they are up to - analysis features / benefits - how they compare. What are your competitive advantages?

  • Sales location

    Check your sales situation - how do you find products on the market? Do you have to go through distributors or other intermediaries?

  • Environmental factors

    What are the inner and outer environmental factors are to be taken into account. This may be economic or sociological factors that have an impact on performance include,.

  • Analysis of opportunities and issue

    What requires the completion of a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis. To write things that their current skills are available in the market, the main threats to the economy and may provide in the future, the forces that the company expects and weaknesses that may affect the company's performance.

I know for most of you, the marketing gurus is perhaps the mere knowledge, but it is important to realize that sometimes even the smartest we forget the basics.
